About Your Host
Hello, I’m Alex, your host at Byng Street Garden Loft.
My friends would tell you I’m a bit of a perfectionist, which is why I’ve poured so much love into creating a space that’s more than just “a place to stay.”
The light and airy Loft is an extension of my home. It is dotted with treasures I’ve handpicked for my own home over the years—vintage Moroccan and Turkish rugs, original artworks, and, of course, the teal green Porter’s Paint feature wall that brings the outdoors in. It’s stylish, but not overdone—just enough to make you feel at home, with a touch of something special.
What I love most about hosting is meeting and connecting with our guests and sharing a bit of what makes Orange so wonderful. Whether it’s boutique shopping, exploring the region’s wineries, or settling in for a fabulous meal, I’m across all the local tips that will make your stay unforgettable.
I also make a point of introducing myself—and the family, including Ruby the Ridgeback, who has a personality all of her own. After that, we may not cross paths again, as I’m mindful of giving guests their space. But there’s nothing I love more than seeing our guests in the back garden, the table spread with local delicacies and a bottle of wine, soaking up the magic of this place. That’s what it’s all about!
